New City 10-Year Master Plan out for Public Comment

Last Tuesday, the City released a draft of its updated 10-Year Master Plan – a document that ‘outlines our community’s vision for future development, land use, infrastructure and overall growth by setting goals, policies and strategies’.

An accompanying Press Release describes two Public Comment Hearings where residents can share ideas, feedback, and related:

  • Thu, Nov 5 at 6 p.m. via virtual meeting (email [email protected] to request the link), and

  • Tue, Nov 10 at 6 p.m. in-person at Council Chambers during Planning Commission meeting

My understanding is the Master Plan will come before Council in December for discussion and vote (and comes with additional opportunities for public hearing), but these next two meetings are great opportunities to have your voice heard for the vision for Laurel for the next ten years. Even if you haven’t read the document, just sharing your thoughts or questions in general is very helpful to hear so the policy makers can incorporate it into wherever it applies.

Hope you find the above helpful, and please feel free to send me your thoughts too as I’d like to include in Council conversations and decisions.
