I realized after-the-fact that I got my weekends mixed up during my Council Report on Monday – I accidentally shared that two events were happening this Saturday, but they’re actually scheduled for next Saturday, April 4. 🤪

  1. The first is the 4th of July Indoor Yard Sale fundraiser which always is a nice browse-around for good finds – And if you’re looking to sell, you can also sign-up for table for $25 (with a donation truck on site for anything remaining). The event is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Multiservice Center at 204 Fort Meade Road (Rte. 198). Proceeds to help fund our 4th of July festivities (this year to also highlight our nation’s 250th birthday)!

  2. The second is a Patuxent River Cleanup – After you’ve scored a few treasures at the yard sale, swing on down to Riverfront Park to help spruce up our river so it sparkles for spring! Meetup at the park area at the end of Avondale Street and link up with the Patuxent Riverkeepers, Laurel Parks & Rec, and other community groups for what promises to be a beautiful time outside & rewarding time beautifying our City!

Additional details for both events in the graphics below and you can kick-off April with a great day in Laurel!
