LBOT Small Biz Roundtable // Clyopatra Resort Groundbreaking -- Highlights & Pics!
»Laurel Board of Trade Roundtable«
Small business owners are a hardy group, and that was certainly demonstrated by the strong crowd of small business owners who came out to the snow re-scheduled Roundtable at City Hall hosted by the Laurel Board of Trade. I enjoyed getting to meet, listen, & help support the business owners gathered including:
-
The Cybernetic Diabetic who 3D prints covers for arm insulin injectors
-
CC Hobby Fun a veteran-owned business that uses ‘CNC, laser cutting, and good old fashioned wood working to fashion a wide variety of clocks, signs, and unique gifts’
-
Soft Reflections VS, a full-time freelance photographer that does commercial, lifestyle, wildlife, and more.
I encourage you to check out the above businesses plus also consider joining the Laurel Board of Trade to up your business game, and thank you to members of the City team who were there to answer questions and share information about our City’s programs for small businesses!
»Clyopatra Resort Groundbreaking«
Clyopatra Winery & Vineyard, the first African owned winery in the US and based right here in Laurel, celebrated a groundbreaking for an exciting new chapter:. a resort to be located at the southern tip of Laurel below Patuxent Research Refuge! The resort will feature lodgings, a vineyard, and place to teach and share about culture – a true agrotourism gem. It was a pleasure to join with entrepreneur Ifeoma Onyia, her family, and County and City officials for the ground blessing, first shovel, and celebration for what will be a beautiful expansion. In the meantime, you can also visit Clyopatra’s tasting location off Main Street to sample their wines and participate in social events.
